Overview of the Jayco Jay Feather RV

There are a lot of different travel trailers on sale today, making it difficult to determine which one is the best for you and your needs. The Jayco Jay Feather 29QBH bunkhouse travel trailer offers a cavernous interior with a separate front bedroom and bunk room, upscale finishes, and high-quality construction not matched by others in the industry.

Jayco starts with the Jay Feather’s tires and suspension system, which is a straightforward leaf spring system. The Goodyear Endurance tires help ensure the best grip and ride quality, helping make the Jay Feather much easier and less stressful to tow. The tires also help cut noise levels on the road, which can become annoying over time.
Inside, the Jay Feature offers two bunks on the upper deck with enough room to accommodate an adult or even two smaller passengers. The bunk space also works as a great storage or auxiliary room, such as for an office or play space for the kids. Jayco’s furniture options are all top-quality, and the RV’s couch makes for another comfortable sleeping spot.
The main bedroom features a queen-sized bed, and Jayco installs nightstands on both sides of the sleeping area. The RV also features power outlets on each side, along with USB-A and USB-C power outlets. Each nightstand has a drawer for storage, and the bedroom has a full-size hanging closet on the back wall with more storage drawers.
When you’re not sleeping, the Jay Feather’s spacious main living area offers a ton of room for activities. It features a free-standing table and a couch that can be arranged for theater-style seating. In the kitchen, Jayco fits a long counter next to a smaller 12-volt refrigerator. The cooler isn’t as roomy as a normal fridge, but it’s more than enough for a few days off the grid. Oven space is more limited, however, as the Jay Feather only has a 17-inch unit in the kitchen.
If you’re interested in boondocking or off-grid camping, the Jay Feather may need some adjustments. It requires an upgrade with the Overlander 2 package, which brings additional solar panels, an upgraded inverter, and a 30-amp charger to provide the power needed for off-grid stays.
The Jay Feather’s size may make it a little challenging to maneuver for beginners, but once you get used to it, it’s an excellent travel trailer with great space and features. That said, remember that the Feather’s weight requires a heavy-duty truck for towing.
